Wealden Hall House
Description
Ancient Wealden timbered hall house in the village of Loose ( pronounced Looz ) in Kent.
The name Loose comes from the old English word, ‘Hlose’, meaning place of pigs or pig-sty, a reference perhaps to the main occupation of the medieval peasant population.
