St Mary the Virgin

St Mary the Virgin, Stone-in-Oxney, Kent. Following a serious fire in 1464 the church of St.Mary was completely rebuilt, and very little if any of the original church survived. It is thought by some that St Mary’s may stand on the site of a Roman Mithraic temple.
