The Saxon Warriors

Saxon Warrior Pharmacy . . Lenham

The name saxon Warrior was given to this building during restoration work in 1946 when one of the builders carrying out the work accidentally put his pick axe through the skull of an ancient dead body.

In all three bodies where uncovered, 2 men and a woman believed to be Saxons from the sixth century.

It is possible that the shop was built over a Saxon cemetery.
