Roman Amphitheatre in the city of Tarragona ( formerly Tarraco ) built in the late 1st early 2nd century. Overlooking the Mediterranean sea in the North East region of Catalonia . . Spain this huge RomanAmphitheatre. ( Anfiteatro Romano de Tarragona ) carved directly out of the underlying bedrock would have been able to seat up to 14000 spectators to the Gladiatorial battles.
